1 Hold the bike level with one hand, check oil with other. 2- Have somebody hold the bike upright for you. 3- Sit on bike, keep upright/stable w/feet. 4- Lift bike on jack until level. 5- Use a front/rear wheel chock. 6- Sell the bike, cars are easier. #3 is my choice - nothing scary about it.
